Kick Up Your Boots

Our fingers had been crossed for months.

Would there be rain on their wedding day at the McCoy Equestrian & Recreation Center in Chino, California? Would we have to break out the clear umbrellas that I had stashed in my car for the bride and groom to hold? Would the guests be trudging around the equestrian center paths in the mud?

You know how the song says, "It Never Rains in California"? News flash: It does!!!

But, as luck would have it, the skies were clear, loaded with fluffy clouds and blue sky for this beautiful wedding! It turned out to be a picture-perfect day! Phew!

Garrett and Allyson have been going to the Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, CA for years. It's no surprise that their engagement photos and wedding had a rustic natural vibe! The country-inspired theme was the common thread throughout the wedding, from the wardrobe to the decor. The ladies carried sunflowers, Baby's Breath and roses. Cowboy boots adorned this entire wedding party, which was comprised of family and lifelong friends. (What a great idea to wear cowboy boots! I am betting that cowboy boots are waaaay more comfortable than high heels!!!)

Wedding guests danced the night away with awesome D.J. Chris Wenger and enjoyed a delicious dinner provided by California Cookout in Upland, CA. The wedding cake, provided by Some Crust Bakery, and cake pops, provided by Love 2 Dip, had a woodsy elegant feel, fitting right into the theme.

At the end of the evening, guests surrounded the couple and gave them an explosive send-off with poppers! Streamers filled the air as the happy bride and groom exited the building.

Thank you, Garrett and Allyson, for trusting me to capture your special day! I can't wait to photograph you on your first, of many, anniversaries next year! Congratulations!
